About the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health

Tennis champion, activist and humanitarian Arthur Ashe established the Arthur Ashe Institute for Urban Health in 1992 with a simple but powerful goal: improved health care and education for Americas urban residents. Arthur Ashe passed away in 1993 after contracting the AIDS virus from a blood transfusion but the Institute remains true to Arthurs vision. The funds raised at Sports Ball support the Institutes programs that encourage people to take a pro-active approach to their health. Our Health Science Academy is training the next generation of health care providers. Our community health empowerment programs help people to lead their own efforts to be healthy. The Institute is a leader and pioneer in developing culturally competent health services that address racial, ethnic and gender disparities in health.

Richard Levychin, CPA Participant on Panel: Beyond the Startup; Hacking the Growth Phase. October 18th

The life of a startup has two paths: success or failure. The successful startups are those that are both able to address their current day to day issues and identify the various possibilities that are available while being mindful of what is needed for the future. But how would you know what these issues and possibilities are? How do you go about knowing what you don’t know? And what about what you don’t know that you don’t know?

TechMasters brings together a group of experts with over 250 years of combined business experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, valuations, marketing, accounting, taxation, insurance and finance for a highly interactive session that will be driven by your questions.

Date: October 18, 2017
